Transfers between accounts
What it is
A transfer is your own money in a different pocket. Neither income nor spending: it stays out of the expense reports and does not distort the month.
The «Transfer» button is at the top of the «Accounts» screen.
Changing currency at your rate
This is what it was built for. You enter two amounts: what left and what arrived. The app works out the rate and shows it underneath, so you can check it against the receipt.

Kept with the transaction for good
After that you simply spend from the peso account all month. The market will move; your transaction does not care, it already happened at your rate.
Why two amounts and not a rate
You know what left and what arrived — it is on the receipt. A rate is what you get by dividing and rounding, and the rounding ends up in the balance. When both accounts hold the same currency the second box does not appear at all.
Other uses
- Took cash out of an ATM: transfer from the card to the «Cash» account, then record spending from there.
- Put money aside: transfer into the goal's account.
- Paid yourself back: transfer it back.
Got it wrong? Delete it
Recent transfers are listed under the heading on «Accounts», each with a «Delete» button. Deleting removes both sides at once, the money out and the money in. There is no such thing as half a transfer.
What a transfer will not do
You cannot move more than the account holds: a normal account does not go negative. If you need negative, that is a credit card, and those live in the «Cards» section.
