Voice entry

The microphone button on the home screen records an expense from speech. Say the amount and the category: "two hundred pesos groceries", "fifteen hundred fuel".

What it understands

  • Amounts, as digits or words.
  • A category name, or something close to it — the app remembers your wording and recognises it immediately next time.
  • A currency: say "a hundred dollars" and the money leaves your dollar account rather than the main one.

Language

Recognition works in one language at a time — browsers cannot detect the language on the fly. The dictation language is chosen in the recording sheet and remembered. If you spoke another language and it did not understand, it offers to try again in that one.

If it does not work

  • Allow microphone access in the browser; without it the button does nothing.
  • Voice entry does not exist in every browser. Chrome on Android is the most reliable.
  • If it did not catch the amount it says so plainly rather than guessing.

Privacy

The recognition is done by the browser. The app stores only the parsed result — the amount, the category, and your wording if you agreed to remember it. No audio is sent anywhere or kept.
