Terms and conditions
Revision 2026-08-25
Caudal is an app for tracking your personal finances: you record income, expenses, accounts, debts and savings goals, and the app shows you where you stand. Creating an account means you accept these terms.
The service is operated by Caudal (caudalapp.app). For anything legal or about your data: nikiaskray0414@gmail.com, or the support form inside the app.
What Caudal does and doesn't do
Caudal records and presents the information you enter. It does not connect to your banks, does not move money and does not make payments.
Caudal is not a financial or investment adviser. The forecasts, category limits and savings suggestions are calculations over your own data, not professional advice. Decisions about your money are yours.
Exchange rates and crypto prices come from external sources and are refreshed once a day. They are a reference and may differ from your bank or exchange.
Your account
You need a valid email address and a password. Keeping that password secret is on you: anyone who has it sees your finances.
You must be at least 18, or of legal age where you live.
An account belongs to one person. If you share access with a partner or family, you share everything inside it.
Your data is yours
The records you create belong to you. You can edit or delete them in the app at any time, and you can ask us for a copy or for full deletion of your account.
We do not sell your financial data and do not use it for advertising.
Acceptable use
Don't try to reach other people's accounts, overload the service, scrape it automatically, or store illegal content in it.
We may suspend an account doing any of that, or one used to defraud other people.
Availability
We work to keep Caudal running, but we can't promise uninterrupted availability. There can be maintenance, provider failures or unplanned outages.
If something in here is critical to you, keep your own copy as well.
Price
Caudal is free to use today. If paid features arrive later, we will announce them in advance and the terms will be clear before anything is charged.
Limitation of liability
Caudal is provided as is. We are not liable for financial decisions you make using the app, or for losses arising from data entered incorrectly, stale exchange rates, or service interruptions.
Changes to these terms
If something material changes, we publish a new revision and ask you to accept it the next time you open the app. The current revision is shown at the bottom of this page.
If you disagree with a new revision, you can ask us to delete your account.
Closing your account
You can ask us to close your account at any time by writing to our address. Closing it deletes your data, except anything we are legally required to keep.
